Plywood to Shingle Delivery

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Now that the shingles have been torn off the real roofing begins...

Don making his way across the roof   Plywood on the bedroom section of the roof

The middle pieces of plywood were the pieces that were part of the pickup bed extensions   The backside of the house

Looking into the backyard area   The front of the house

Rolls of 15 lb paper about to be applied   Some final stapling

Looking down at the pond again... I covered the pond with sheets of plywood to reduce light to the water and we're hoping kill some of the rampant algae

A roof visitor... Heddy up on the roof for the first of countless times

Don sawing a piece of plywood   ...can you possibly get any more manly?

Shingles, ridge capping, ridge venting and flashing arriving   Conveyor to the roof

Loading shingles onto the conveyor   Jesus taking shingles off the conveyor on the roof

Damn those look heavy   The roof is loaded

Don inspecting the shingles... hmmmm... how DOES one put these on?   Just how hard can it be?

All this big equipment in our driveway is weird

Bike on roof   Jack tearin' it up

Jack is clearly enjoying himself

Gettin' some air

Don riding his bike on the roof   He said it was like a skate park for bikes

I shoulda tried it... looked fun

Close up of the new shingles   It's hard to believe that the roof can take all this weight. These packages are heavy

Don's new bike   This is a very sweet ride. I'm so jealous.

Don covering up his "girly-man" brakes... He's seriously thinking about a downgrade.
