The Bradfields back yard. It's absolutely gorgeous. Way in the back you can see their pond.
Larry went to Oregon State University with Eric. This was before jobs and family and all
which that implies. They were almost inseparable sharing the same major and many of the
the same interests. However, in the end, Eric accepted a position with Boeing (where he
remains to this day) and Larry accepted a position with HP (where he remains to this day).
Eric went on to marry Leslie (a wonderful woman who I never get enough time or opportunity
to hang out with)
and they had two lovely girls (Erin and Kelsey both spectacular daughter
and pure delights. I don't get to spend enough time with them either
) . They live
just South
of Seattle
in Kent, Washington. Occasionally our
two families still have an
opportunity to get
together.
This happened in May of '04 when
I was in the area to
do some sailing and then
later
again that July, when the whole
family was vacation in the
San Juan Islands (photos
in the
'Vacations' section).
These pictures were taken during a soccer game that I got to attend where Erin's
team was playing. The Bradfields are a hard core soccer family. Both of their girls play
in "Select" soccer leagues. For those of you who don't pay much attention to soccer, this
is the creme de la creme of soccer. It's serious and the people who play at this level are
skilled and dedicated. As I watched this game, I spent most of my time with my mouth hung
open in amazement.
I hope to have more pictures of the Bradfields in the future. These are pretty lame but
they're all we have.

| The following four pictures were taken when the Bradfields rendezvoused with us during our 2002 vacation at Honeyman State Park in Oregon. Eric, Erin, Kelsey and I hiked across the sand dunes (a few miles) to the beach. It's an awesome hike. | |
