On September 9th, 2006, Team Dance Away took Delicate Balance to Santa Cruz in the '06 Windjammers.  As always it was a pleasure to hook up with my homies again to do some sailing.

Unfortunately, this time the conditions weren't all that great.  The day started 0ff with some wind but it wasn't expected to last... and it didn't.  The day was dominated with headsail changes as we struggled to make our sail plan match the present conditions... but these conditions never seemed to last very long so it was on to another headsail change.   I counted at least twelve changes but I think there were a couple more that got lost in the shuffle.  It all became a blur after awhile.  Finally somewhere between eight and nine, we decided that we had our lives to get back to so we packed it in.    Sigh...

Not so many pictures this time... I took a lot but they were mostly of us sitting around looking grumpy and all kinda looked the same.  Being in a fast sailboat that isn't moving cuz there's no wind can really put you in a bad mood.  But other than that, it was a lovely day and as I said before, it was an absolute joy to be sailing with these guys again.
